IWOX
Clear – Ireland and the UK's Most efficient Wastewater
Treatment Plant
EN12566-3 Is the new standard for wastewater treatment systems up to a population equivalent of 50. The IWOX range of treatment plants have underwent 38 weeks of testing in an EN12566-3 accredited test facility to assess the treatment plants efficiency, structural behaviour and water tightness. Following the testing the IWOX range of wastewater treatment plants have been awarded CE certification to EN12566-3.
Furthermore the IXOX Clear model has been found to be the most efficient wastewater treatment plant available in both the UK and Irish markets

As can be seen from the above charts the IWOX Clear wastewater treatment plant far exceeds the typical 20/30 BOD/SS effluent quality standards as well as surpassing the stringent requirements of 5/5 BOD/SS all without the need for reed beds.
Important questions to ask if you are buying a 5/5 (BOD/SS) System
- Ask your supplier to see their certificate with removal efficiencies of minimum 98%
- Is it a certificate they have or just a declaration of conformity?
- Is the tank just eu certified or is the combined system certified i.e. have they a certificate for the tank and reedbed/sand filter/tertiary product?
- Does the system have mechanical moving parts?
- Are the mechanical parts expensive to replace?
- What is the system constructed from?
- Can the system be easily modularised?
- In case of a power failure, does the system come standard with a back-up buffer zone?
- Does the system remove organic nitrogen? (which will become important in the near future)
- Does your supplier offer supervision of installation?
- Does your supplier offer a three month check?
